He was born in Evanston, Illinois and raised in Kansas City.   After working his way through the University of Washington receiving a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science, Jeff attended the University of Puget Sound Law School, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1987.
Jeff is committed to precision in his law practice.  Jeff practices in the areas of estate planning, business transactions and litigation, complex partnership and limited liability company formations and partnership tax, real estate transactions and land use issues, real estate and land use litigation, and has been a Qualified Intermediary for investment property exchanges under § 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code for over 26 years.  He is well-respected and is called upon to accommodate many complex, large 1031 exchange transactions throughout the United States.  He was the first Certified Exchange Specialist® in the south Puget Sound.
Admitted to U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit; U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington and Washington State bar.
